Beer & Batter Weekend

Friday 13th to Sunday 15th October

We’re teaming up with our fishmonger, Something Fishy, and Goldmark Brewery for a weekend feast of fresh fish either grilled, pan fried or dipped in variety of herb flours or beer batters and, of course, local craft brews.

We’ll be on hand with food pairing notes to help you match some of Goldmark’s award-winning beers and lagers to dishes on our autumn menu.

We have several special Goldmark brews for the Beer and Batter Weekend, check them all out below.

The Beer & Batter menu will be available from midday until 8.30pm each day, in addition to our regular autumn menu.

Here are the extra-special dishes you’ll be able to enjoy:

  • Cod cheeks with lemon and herb butter £7.25
  • Battered samphire grass with citrus mayonnaise £5.95 
  • Battered king prawns with sweet and sour sauce £7.95
  • Lightly battered aubergine slices with cane honey £5.95
  • Mussel popcorn with alioli £6.95

And the beers available over the weekend from Goldmark Brewery will be:

  • IPA (4.3%) Bottled, floral, fruit and citrus hints. Smooth crisp and bittersweet. £4.20
  • Black Lion Porter (4.8%) Bottled, chocolate, toffee and coffee notes. Rich and smooth. £4.20
  • American Hop Idol APA (4.4%) Golden ale, floral with citrus notes. Crisp, zesty and dry. £4.50 pint/£2.50 half
  • Moshpit IPA (5.6%) Refreshing, with strong tropical fruits, cactus and cucumber notes. £4.50 pint/£2.50 half
  • Liquid Gold (4%) Refreshing golden ale, citrus with wild berries. £4.50 pint/£2.50 half
  • Phoenix Bitter (4.1%) Amber bitter with hints of toffee and chocolate. Smooth finish. £4.50 pint/£2.50 half

Every Thursday evening from 5:30pm! September to June

Every Thursday from September to June our head chef and the team put together a locally sourced three-course menu to tickle the tastebuds of Billy’s locals.

It doesn’t matter where you live: as long as you’re at Billy’s between 5.30pm and 8.00pm on a Thursday evening, you’re local to us!

Enjoy 2 courses for £12 or 3 courses for £15 from a choice of delicious dishes like these below.
